Newsletter and content updates

Newsletter privacy.

This section applies to the newsletter sign-up on commsrx.com, which we operate; the rest of this notice applies to it as well, except where this section says otherwise.

If you sign up for Ally's Read, our newsletter, on commsrx.com, we collect your work email address, the therapy areas you are interested in, your role, and, if you give it, your first name. We also record the page you signed up from and the date and time. We use this information to send you each edition and to understand which topics our readers value. Before we send anything else, we ask you to confirm your address by clicking a link in a confirmation email; an address that is not confirmed within seven days is deleted.

Every email after you confirm carries an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing takes effect at once.

We store the newsletter list with our website host, Cloudflare, Inc., and with Resend, Inc., which also sends the emails. Both process your information on our instructions and for no other purpose. We do not sell the newsletter list or share it with anyone else, and signing up does not create a CommsRx account or give us access to anything in your organisation's CommsRx workspace.

If you reply to a newsletter, we keep your reply with your address so that we can answer it. We keep your sign-up information while you are subscribed. When you unsubscribe, we delete it within thirty days.

Our lawful basis, where one is required, is your consent, which you give by signing up and confirming your address, and which you can withdraw at any time by unsubscribing. The service is operated from the United States.
